Project Overview:

In Rise of Resistance fight for glory and take down a federation trying to destroy all life in the galaxy. This retro like game has level progression casuing deja vu disorenting the player making them think they have played that area but it changes slightly.

Features I worked on and built for Rise of the Resistance

Game and Level Design

​

  1. Playtest and made bug fixes to the game.

  2. Made Game Design Documentation (GDD) to begin implementations of the games development.

  3. Designed up to 4 levels.

  4. Combat encounters (enemy placement around the levels).

  5. Environment art and design (Prop placement).

  6. Core mechanics gameplay design.

  7. texture and prop placement.

  8. Intro splash screen

  9. Menu and buttons designs (camera transitions, music and sound effects

  10. Created UI/UX design for the game.

  11. Level lighting to create an atmosphere to the game.

  12. Sound design including music/ambiance and editing. (also made hurt and shoot sound effects)

Scripting

  1. Combat design (scripted how the player/enemy shoot).

  2. Player health/healing (also added a UI visual to the player losing health with a green/yellow/red colored panel).

  3. added a hurt splash screen. (flashes red when the player takes damage)

  4. Door locked and requiring key to open.

  5. created a timer that counts how long the player took to complete the level.

  6. created a scoring system that adds points for finding coins or killing enemies.

  7. created a pick up weapon script/weapon shoot script to kill opposing enemies.

  8. Health pickups that healed the player for a certain amount.
